When a teammate submits a social post for approval, it lands with the reviewers on that post's approval flow. This article is for reviewers: how to find the posts waiting on you, review them, and approve or request changes. For setting up approval flows, see Getting Started with Social. For what each role can do, see User Roles in Reach.
Where to find posts to review
Select Approvals in the Social sidebar. You are also notified when a post reaches your stage, and the notification takes you to the post.
The page has three tabs:
My Tasks shows the posts waiting on your decision. If you wrote a post and a reviewer requested changes, it appears here too, so you can fix and resubmit it.
All Pending shows every social post currently in review that you can see.
History shows reviews that have finished: approved, changes requested or canceled.
Each card shows the post, the approval flow, who requested the review, its due date and its compliance score, or Not scanned if it has not been checked yet.
Filter and sort the queue
Use Filters to narrow by Status, Approval Flow, Requester, Compliance Scan score or Submitted Date.
Use Sort by to order by Due Soonest, Due Latest, Submitted Newest, Submitted Oldest or compliance score.
Switch between grid, list and kanban views with the buttons beside the sort menu.
Use the search bar to find a post by its text, requester or approval flow.
This page lists social posts only. Asset approvals stay in the Library's Approvals page.
Review a post
On a post waiting on you, select Review (or Review Request in list view). On other posts the button reads View.
Read the post in the editor and its live preview. The rail on the right opens the post's Info, Chat and Scan results, so you can check its compliance findings before you decide.
At the bottom of the Info panel, choose a decision:
Approve, then confirm with Approve.
Request changes, then describe what needs to change under Feedback and select Request Changes. Feedback is required.
What happens next
While a post is in review it is locked, so the author cannot edit it until the review completes.
If the flow has more stages, an approval passes the post to the next stage's reviewers. Depending on how the flow is set up, one approver may be enough or every approver may need to sign off.
When the final stage approves, the post is Approved and the author can publish or schedule it.
If you request changes, the post goes back to the author with your feedback. When they resubmit, it comes back to the reviewers.
Who can review
Reviewers are set by approval flows, not by access level. Anyone named on a flow can act on posts that reach their stage. If your company uses capability roles, approving needs the approve permission and requesting changes needs the review permission, so a role may show you only one of the two buttons.
