Set Your Compliance Scan Policies

How to set up your account to check for regulatory compliance.

Choose which regulations and policies Warrant checks your content against.

How to Get There

  1. In the left sidebar, go to Admin

  2. Click AI Policies

  3. Open the Policies tab

Selecting Regulations and Policies

Use the Policies tab to define what Warrant checks for.

  1. Click Add Regulations to include relevant regulators or frameworks

  2. Once added, associated policies appear in the table

  3. Use search and filters to find specific rules

  4. Enable or disable policies as needed

πŸ’‘ Don't enable everything, more rules mean more noise. Focus on what actually applies to your business.

Creating a Custom Policy

You can also create organization-specific policies.

  1. In the Policies tab, click Create Policy

  2. Enter the required details:

    • Name

    • Type (e.g. Regulation, Company Policy, Disclosure, Trademark)

    • Severity

    • Description

  3. (Optional) Add guidance in When to Use or configure the AI Prompt

  4. Click Create Policy

Custom policies allow you to enforce internal rules and requirements alongside regulatory policies.

Setting Risk Levels

For each policy, assign a risk level:

Level

Use for

High

Critical violations that could mean fines or lawsuits

Medium

Important rules you want to catch (recommended for most)

Low

Nice-to-have checks, company-specific preferences

Risk levels tie into auto-approval settings you set in Company Settings.
