The Warrant Microsoft Add-in brings compliance scanning directly into the tools your team already uses. Instead of uploading multiple document versions to Warrant OS during the editing process, you can scan, review, and address compliance issues directly within Word or PowerPoint. Once you're finished, you can save the latest version to your Warrant library for further review or record keeping.
What you can do with the Microsoft Add-in
With the Warrant Add-in, you can:
Scan Word documents and PowerPoint presentations for compliance issues without leaving the application.
Review flagged regulations directly in your document.
Rate compliance findings as helpful (thumbs up) or Not relevant (thumbs down), or Dismiss findings that don't apply, to help your team focus on actionable issues.
Jump directly to flagged content with one click using Locate in document, making it easy to locate and resolve violations.
Save or add your document to your Warrant library and continue the review in Warrant OS when needed.
Before you begin
To use the Warrant Microsoft Add-in, your Microsoft administrator must first install the add-in for your organization.
Download the Warrant manifest
Sign in to Warrant as an admin.
Click Settings in the left sidebar.
Under Company, select Company Integrations.
Scroll to the Microsoft Word & PowerPoint section.
Select Download manifest.
The downloaded manifest file is required to install the Warrant Add-in in your Microsoft 365 environment.
Install the Microsoft Add-in
A Microsoft 365 administrator must upload the manifest file through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, under Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom app.
Follow Microsoft's instructions for deploying Office add-ins using a manifest file. Once deployment is complete, the Warrant Add-in will be available in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for users in your organization. To try it on just your own machine first, you can sideload the manifest into Word or PowerPoint.
Note: The add-in may take a short time to appear after deployment, depending on your Microsoft 365 environment.
Using the Warrant Add-in
Once the add-in has been installed:
Open a Word document or PowerPoint presentation.
On the Home tab, click Warrant → Compliance Scan, then click Sign in to Warrant and sign in with your Warrant account.
Click Scan document to run a compliance scan.
Review the compliance score and the flagged issues displayed in the add-in panel.
Click Locate in document on a finding to jump directly to the corresponding location in the document (in PowerPoint, this selects the slide).
Use the thumbs up or thumbs down on each finding to mark it as helpful or not relevant, or click Dismiss to set it aside.
Make edits directly in your document, then click Scan again to re-check.
When you're ready, click Add to Warrant Library to save the document to your Warrant library. After that, Update in Library saves a new version and View in Warrant opens the asset so you can continue working in Warrant OS if additional review is required.
Why use the Microsoft Add-in?
The Microsoft Add-in streamlines your review workflow by allowing you to edit and resolve compliance issues where you're already creating content.
Instead of repeatedly uploading updated document versions into Warrant OS, you can:
Review compliance findings while writing or editing.
Resolve issues immediately without switching applications.
Reduce version management during the drafting process.
Save the finalized document back to Warrant when you're ready for broader review or approval.
This creates a faster, more efficient compliance workflow while keeping Warrant integrated into your existing document creation process.
