Every post in Social follows the same path: draft it, check it for compliance, send it for approval, then publish. The quickest way to start is from a template, but you can also generate a post from scratch or write your own.
How to generate a post in Warrant
Start a post from scratch
Select Create New at the top of the Social workspace.

Start from a template
Templates are the fastest route from nothing to a finished post. Open Templates in the Social sidebar.
Discover holds the templates available to your whole company, with a Featured templates band at the top and the rest grouped by category. Personal holds the ones you created or bookmarked.
Select a template and Warrant builds the post for you. If the template has body copy, it opens in the editor ready to edit. If it does not, generation opens with the template's angle as the prompt, so you can generate the draft in one more click and add an image straight after.
Generate a post with AI
Select Generate Post, or Generate at the bottom of the editor if you are already in a draft.
Pick the platform the post is for.
Choose your source. Topic lets you describe the post in your own words. From URL drafts from a web page. From file drafts from a document you upload.
Turn on Branded image if you want an image generated and attached along with the copy.
Open Advanced options for more control over the draft.
Select Generate.
Drafts are shaped by your My Voice profile and by the compliance policies scoped to social, so they sound like you and arrive closer to approvable. If you have not set your voice up yet, Warrant shows a prompt at the top of the editor to answer a few questions.
Generate a post from an image or video
If you already have the asset and need the words, start from the file.
Select Create New, then Image or Video Post, and upload your file. You can also select From file in the generation dialog, or add the file to a draft you have already started.
The editor opens with the file attached.
Select Generate. Warrant writes the post from the file rather than from a topic you type.
Write your own draft
Select Text Post to open the editor and start typing. The editor sits on the left and a live preview sits beside it, showing the post as it will appear on the platform you picked.
The toolbar gives you Add media, Improve to tighten a draft you have already written, and Add first comment. Your character count for the platform sits in the bottom right, and the post saves as you work.
Pick your platform
Whichever route you take, Warrant asks which platform the post is for: LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit or YouTube.
This is not just a label. The post is drafted for that platform, so the length, structure and formatting follow that platform's rules rather than being written once and reused.
Add an image or video
Select Add media. You have three options, and they work the same on a generated draft or one you wrote yourself.
Upload files. Drag a file in or browse for it. Social accepts PNG, JPG and WEBP for images, MP4 and MOV for video, and MP3, WAV and M4A for audio.
Choose from library. Pick an asset already in your Warrant library.
Generate with AI. Warrant creates an on-brand image or carousel for the post.
The description is prefilled from your post body. Edit it or replace it.
Add up to five references, by upload or from your library, to steer the look.
Pick a size, for example Portrait 4:5 at 1200 by 1500.
Generate image creates a single image. Generate carousel creates a multi-slide carousel, and you can describe what each slide should show or leave slides blank to follow the main description.
Generation runs in the background, so you can close the dialog or leave the page. The finished image is added to your post automatically. Select Regenerate if you want a different take, or Done to close.
Generated images follow your brand palette and guidelines, are saved to your library, and are recorded as AI generated.
Save a template for reuse
If a post format works, save it so your team can reuse it. Select New template on the Templates page, or Create Template from the Create New menu.
Title and Description name the template and remind you when to use it.
Body is optional. Fill it in and the copy is inserted into the editor. Leave it empty and the template opens generation instead, using its format as the prompt.
Files are optional. Images, video and audio ride along onto the post the template creates. Documents stay behind as reference material.
Links are optional. The first link is what a post from the template is generated from, and Warrant reads that page and writes about it. The rest stay as reference.
Category groups the template on the Discover page.
Visibility decides whether it is yours alone or available to everyone at your company.
Admins can also tick Feature in "Our top picks" to put a template in the featured band.
Check compliance
Select Check compliance to scan your draft against the policies and disclosures scoped to social.
You will get a score and a list of findings. Fix what it flags and scan again. If a required disclosure does not fit the platform's character limit, Warrant tells you rather than cutting it short.
Send it for approval
Select Submit for approval and choose the approval flow.
The post moves to In Review and your reviewers are notified. If they request changes, it comes back to you with their comments to edit and resubmit. Depending on your company's settings, a post that scores above your auto approval threshold may be approved without review.
Publish
Once approved, open the post and choose how to publish.
Publish now sends it to the platform immediately, for platforms you have connected to Warrant.
Schedule lets you pick a date and time. The post sits in the queue until then, and you can reopen the publish dialog to reschedule or cancel.
Mark as published records the post as live in Warrant. Use this when you posted it yourself on a platform Warrant is not connected to.
After publishing
The panel on the right of the editor holds the post's Info, Comments, Scan results and Analytics. Once published, Analytics shows impressions, reactions, comments and reshares, along with the comments people left on the post.
Download in the top right exports the post with its media and its details report.
