Content Quality Checks

Have Warrant proofread spelling and grammar and flag possibly unlicensed imagery when it scans your content.

Written by Austin Carroll

Content quality checks let Warrant proofread your content and review its imagery during the same scan that checks it for compliance. Admins can turn on three checks: spelling, grammar, and copyright images.

Where to find it

  1. In the left sidebar, click Settings.

  2. Under Compliance, click Review settings.

  3. Scroll to Content quality checks.

You can also search Settings for "spelling", "grammar" or "proofread".

The three checks

Each check has its own switch, and all three are off until you turn them on.

  • Spelling check: flags misspelled words and typos in scanned content. Brand names, proper nouns, and intentional stylizations are not flagged.

  • Grammar check: flags grammatical errors such as subject-verb disagreement, run-on sentences, and misused homophones (for example their/there/they're). Intentional marketing fragments and headlines are not flagged.

  • Copyright images check: flags imagery that may be unlicensed third-party material, such as stock-photo watermarks or overlays, famous artwork, or third-party logos. These flags are items for a person to review. Warrant can't verify licensing from the content alone.

Turn a check on

  1. Go to Settings > Review settings > Content quality checks.

  2. Switch on Spelling check, Grammar check, Copyright images check, or any combination.

The change saves right away and applies to scans you run from then on. Existing scan results aren't updated until you re-scan.

What you'll see in scan results

  • Content quality findings are grouped under Content Quality, separately from your regulations and company policies.

  • Spelling and grammar findings are Low risk. Copyright image findings are Medium risk.

  • Each spelling or grammar finding quotes the text and suggests a correction. Each copyright image finding says where the image is and what suggests it may be unlicensed.

  • To keep results focused, each check reports up to 15 findings per scan, starting with the most visible errors such as headlines and calls to action. If there are more, the summary gives an approximate total.

  • Spelling and grammar follow the rules of the language the content is written in.

Tips

  • The checks run as part of every compliance scan, both in the library and in Studio, so there's nothing extra to start.

  • Start with spelling and grammar if you want scans to replace a separate proofreading step. Add the copyright images check if your team reuses imagery from outside sources.

Who can use it

Only admins can turn the checks on or off. Everyone who can see scan results sees content quality findings.
