Platform Guides

See what performs best on each social platform before you write.

Written by Austin Carroll

Platform guides show what performs best on each social platform, so you can decide what to make before you start writing. There is one guide for each platform Social supports: LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and YouTube.

Where to find them

  1. Select Templates in the Social sidebar.

  2. At the top of the page, scroll the row of platform cards and select What works here on the platform you want.

  3. Use the platform icons at the top of a guide to switch to another platform, or select Templates to go back.

The same cards show whether you have connected that platform and let you connect it.

What each guide covers

  • Quick facts for the platform, such as the body character limit, where the post folds behind "see more", whether a title, image or video is required, how many hashtags to use, and whether links belong in the first comment.

  • Posts that work here: fictional example posts shown in the platform's real preview, each with a note on why it works.

  • Imagery that works here: the image and video formats that platform's feed rewards.

  • The playbook: numbered writing rules for the platform.

The guides use the same guidance Warrant's AI follows when it generates a post or an image for that platform, so what you read matches what Generate produces. When you are ready, select Start from a template at the bottom of the guide.
