Connect Your Social Accounts

Connect LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and YouTube so you can publish approved posts as yourself.

Connect your own social accounts to Warrant so you can publish and schedule approved posts as yourself, and read back each post's metrics. This guide covers all seven channels Social supports: LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and YouTube. It is for anyone with a Social seat.

Connections are personal

Every connection belongs to the person who made it. Your accounts are never shared with the rest of your company, and no one else, including an admin, can post from them. Each member of your team connects their own accounts.

You do not need to connect a channel to use Social. You can still draft, check and approve a post, then post it yourself and mark it as published. See Create a Post in Social.

Where to connect

There are two places to connect a channel:

  • Settings, then Personal Integrations under Personal settings. This page shows every channel, what each one needs, and its connection status. It is also where you reconnect and disconnect.

  • The Connect Channels row in the Social sidebar. Select a channel icon to start connecting it.

Personal Integrations only appears if you have a Social seat. If you can't see it, ask your admin to turn on your Social Reach seat. See Getting Started with Social.

Connect a channel

  1. Go to Settings, then Personal Integrations.

  2. For LinkedIn, select Connect LinkedIn on the LinkedIn card. For any other channel, find it in the Social channels list and select Connect.

  3. Sign in to the platform with the account you want to post from, and approve the access it asks for.

  4. You are brought back to Warrant, and a message confirms the channel is connected.

What each channel needs

These are the platforms' own rules, so Warrant can't work around them. If your account doesn't meet them, the connection won't complete.

  • LinkedIn: your personal LinkedIn profile. Posts publish to your personal feed. Posting to a LinkedIn company Page is not supported today.

  • X: your X account.

  • Facebook: a Facebook Page you manage. Meta doesn't allow apps to post to personal profiles, so a personal profile can't be connected. If you don't manage a Page, create one or ask to be made an admin of an existing one, then connect again.

  • Instagram: an Instagram Business or Creator account. A personal Instagram account can't be published to.

  • TikTok: your TikTok account.

  • Reddit: your Reddit account. You choose the subreddit for each post in the composer.

  • YouTube: a Google account that has a YouTube channel. Uploads go to that channel.

On Personal Integrations, the Facebook, Instagram and YouTube rows show their requirement under the channel name until you connect.

What you allow when you connect

Each platform shows its own consent screen listing exactly what you are granting. Warrant uses the connection to publish the posts you choose to publish or schedule, and to read back metrics and comments on those posts.

For LinkedIn, Warrant asks to read your basic profile, post on your behalf, and read your posts' analytics.

How to tell a channel is connected

  • On Personal Integrations, a connected channel shows a Connected badge and the account name or handle. LinkedIn shows Connected as followed by your name.

  • In the Social sidebar, a connected channel's icon has a dot on it. Hover over it to see the account.

  • On an approved post, you see Schedule or publish. If you see Connect your account instead, that post's channel isn't connected yet.

Reconnect a channel

If a platform stops accepting the connection, for example because access expired or was revoked, Warrant sends you an in-app notification and an email asking you to reconnect. For X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and YouTube, the channel also shows Reconnect needed on Personal Integrations and its sidebar icon is outlined in amber.

  1. Go to Settings, then Personal Integrations.

  2. Select Reconnect on the channel. For LinkedIn, select Reconnect on the LinkedIn card, or Connect LinkedIn if it no longer shows as connected.

  3. Sign in to the platform again with the same account and approve access.

You can also select Reconnect on a channel that is working, for example to refresh its access.

Disconnect a channel

  • LinkedIn: select Disconnect on the LinkedIn card.

  • Other channels: select the unplug icon at the end of the channel's row.

Once a channel is disconnected, Warrant can't publish to it or read new metrics for it until you connect it again.

Using more than one set of accounts

If you post from separate sets of accounts, for example a personal brand and a side project, select Add another profile under the Social channels list and give it a name. Once you have more than one profile, choose which one to use from Connect into before you select Connect. You can have up to 10 profiles. This does not apply to LinkedIn, which connects one account.

If a channel won't connect or a post won't publish, see Troubleshooting Social Connections and Publishing.
